APPEARANCE & ODOR
Clear to light brown liquid with characteristic odor.

REACTIVITY & CONDITIONS TO AVOID
Stable. Flammable, avoid oxidizers, ignition sources,
heat.

FIRE HAZARDS

Flammable, will release toxic compounds when burning.
Wear self-contained breathing apparatus and protective
clothing.

HEALTH HAZARDS
Toxic by ingestion or inhalation. Causes lethargy,
headache, gastrointestinal upset, anemia, damage to
CNS, kidney, liver and blindness. Principal routes of
absorption: dermal, inhalation, oral. Chloroform is
listed as a suspect carcinogen by NTP. OSHA PEL/ACGIH
TLV TWA: 200ppm (methyl alcohol); OSHA PEL (ceiling)
50ppm, ACGIH TLV TWA 2ppm (chloroform); OSHA PEL TWA
5ppm, ACGIH TLV TWA 2ppm, STEL 5ppm (sulfur dioxide). Warning: this produce containes a chemical (chloroform) known to the state of California to cause cancer.

SPECIAL PRECAUTIONS

Goggles and rubber gloves must be worn. Use in
well ventilated hood. Store at room temperature
(15-30C). Keep containers tightly closed.

FIRST AID

Wash skin and eyes thoroughly with water for at
least 15 minutes. I
f irritation presists call
physician. Inhalation; remove to fresh air, call
physician. If swallowed, give milk or water and
induce vomiting, if conscious. Get medical assistance.

SPILLS & LEAKS

Eliminate ignition sources, take up with absorbent.
Dispose in accordance with all local, state, and
federal regulations.
