 APPEARANCE & ODOR
 Clear, colorless liquid. Odor of pyridine and sulfur dioxide.

 REACTIVITY & CONDITIONS TO AVOID
 Stable. No hazardous self-reactivity. Incompatible with
oxidizers.

FIRE HAZARDS
Flammable. Emission of NOX, SOX and COX with production
of soot. Avoid inhalation of fumes and vapors. Firefighters
wear SCBA.

 HEALTH HAZARDS
 Irritating and corrosive to skin, eyes and mucous membranes.

OSHA PEL/ACGIH TLV: TWA: 5 ppm (pyridine); OSHA PEL:

Mutagenic data, CNS depression. No evidence or
carcinogenicity.

SPECIAL PRECAUTIONS

Goggles and rubber gloves must be worn. Eye wash nearby.

FIRST AID

Wash contact area thoroughly with water. For eyes, get medical
attention. If swallowed, give water or milk. Vomiting will
probably be spontaneous, if not, induce it. Get medical
attention. Inhalation; remove to fresh air.

SPILLS & LEAKS

Contain spill. Ventilate area. Take up spill in absorbent
and sweep. Disposal to hazardous waste.
